What is it?

The Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) is a programme of assessment and analysis of adult skills. It measures the key cognitive and workplace skills needed for individuals to participate in society and for economies to prosper by interviewing 5,000 adults aged 16 to 65 from over 40 countries. Evidence from the PIAAC results has helped countries better understand how education and training systems can nurture these skills.

This landing page provides PIAAC data which enables institutions, organisations or local governments to create an interactive data profile for interested countries and acess to publications, country specific materai and an online tool to assess the skills of a particular population with the goal of providing training or for research purposes.
