Promoting Social Cohesion and Peaceful Coexistence in Fragile Contexts through TVET - Guide for TVET practitioners

International Labour Organization (ILO)
What is it?

This guide heightens the importance of active promotion of social cohesion into the design and planning of vocational training programmes for young people, based on the participation and needs of youth from diverse backgrounds, including marginalised youth and women. Nonthless, there is a lack of material that guides vocational teachers and trainers in promoting social cohesion through TVET.

Recognisant of this context, this Guide aims to assist ILO constituents and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) practitioners to strengthen the role of skills development policies and programmes in peacebuilding efforts through inclusive learning methodologies and the training of relevant core skills.

It is accompanied by the facilitator handbook
