What is it?

Definition of Social and Emotional Skills

One of the four categories of core skills that constitute the ILO's Global Framework for life and work in the 21st century is "Social and Emotional Skills". Its importance is also emphasized by UNICEF in its Global Framework on transferable skills as the core element which should be integrated into the existing school curricula for skills development to help build a culture of individual wellbeing and social cohesion.

What does this coure provide?

Targeting educators who are interested in the social-emotional learning (SEL) aspect while teaching Global Citizenship which deemed as a core skill to support a transition to a sustainable environment, this course provides guided information of SEL and its context with Global Cizienship Education.

Learning objectives

Learners will be able to discuss and learn how SEL initiatives can be implemented in their local contexts, while communicating with the instructor.

Course format

This self-paced course consists of 4 asynchronous sessions, and 3 live sessions which will be held in November. Upon the course completion, downloadable certificate will be issued. It is open to all for free from 25 OCT. 2021 to 21 NOV. 2021 but only by registration via here
