Learning Brief: COVID-19 Comparative Observations From Kenya and South Africa on Youth Skills Development and Employment

What is it?

 

The global coronavirus pandemic has not only impacted health, lives, and economies, but also the labour market and the education sector. Governments, policymakers, private sector groups, trade unions, international organisations and other stakeholders are attempting to respond in rapidly changing circumstances. This brief provides a reflection on the experiences of Kenya and South Africa as of August 2020, with the aim of highlighting observations, generating insights and drawing out the lessons for the future.
